William Lightner

Few people have enjoyed a professional career more varied than William Lightner.

I am honored to be connected with such a great group [as Lay Witness Mission]," says Lightner. "They are one organization I love doing work for.”
— William Lightner
MARIETTA, GA, UNITED STATES, February 15, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Now a highly-respected motivational speaker, Lightner has spent time in the military, working in finance, in executive sales, and more.

It wasn't until later in life, however, that he would decide to give it all up. Instead of enduring the daily grind, he would find himself traveling to 28 different countries in order to serve God as an evangelist.

As a youngster, William Lightner was afforded a private Baptist school education in his hometown. From there, he would move to Judson University in Illinois.

"Judson University was an outstanding college for me because of the higher education setting and their worship of God," says Lightner, of the Christian liberal arts university.

The former finance professional credits his education with the eventual route he'd take in life, saying, "The university made me into the man I am today. Understanding the importance of personal relationships, but also my relationship with God was such a big part of my college experience."

Graduating with numerous degrees, William Lightner had set himself on a successful career path. After a stint in the military, he found himself working across the US in a number of different industries in the years which followed.

Unfulfilled, however, Lightner turned fully towards religion, gave up corporate life, and joined Lay Witness Mission.

Of its work, Lay Witness Mission states,"The vision for lay witnesses began with Jesus Christ as He chose twelve ordinary men for His disciples to witness His life on earth and to be the first recipients of His teaching."

The mission continues, "The common goal of a Lay Witness Mission is to see Jesus lifted up and the Holy Spirit move in power and authority."

Joining the mission saw Lightner go through a six-month development stage. "Lay Witness Mission holds a special place in my heart," he says. "They got me started with speaking and traveling the world. I'm forever appreciative of the chance they gave me."

Of his time with the mission and his success in public speaking, Lightner says, "There are three main factors every speaker or evangelist should consider. My three are being personal with the crowd, showing passion, and being powerful with words."

He continues, "A person of God must show these three keys, and then they can deliver any message and make sure the message is understood."

With Lay Witness Mission, William Lightner has spoken before huge crowds across the globe, while also personally supporting several hundred individuals in finding comfort in God. With the mission, he preaches acknowledgment of fellowship, as well as faith through prayer, in order to live a more sound life as a follower of Christ.

"I am honored to be connected with such a great group [as Lay Witness Mission]," says Lightner. "They are one organization I love doing work for."
