Costa Maya Festival Presents: Miss Guatemala, Lesly Fernanda Flores Sagastume

The International Costa Maya Festival® committee is pleased to announce the second contestant vying for 2017 Reina del La Costa Maya title: Miss Guatemala Lesly Fernanda Flores Sagastume.
Lesly is 23 years of age, and stands at 5’2”, with blonde hair and brown eyes. The psychology student is a sports enthusiast who enjoys football and general exercise. Her hobbies also include singing and reading. Interestingly, in September 2016, Lesly was the first participant of the “Miss Guatemala” pageant to be awarded the special title of “Miss Costa Maya Internacional”, indicating that Miss Costa Maya Fesitival is gaining recognition in Central America.
Lesly now joins Miss Costa Rica Glennys Medina Segura, as they both await the announcement of the remaining 2017 Reina de La Costa Maya® pageant contestants. They will be joined onstage on Thursday August 3rd by Miss Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panama in the quest to take the coveted crown currently held by Miss Costa Maya 2015 Gabriela Vanessa Salazar Valle.

The La Reina de La Costa Maya Pageant is scheduled for Thursday, August 3rd at the Honorable Louis Sylvester Sporting Area at 7PM. After the official opening ceremonies and presentation of the new queen, there will be a variety of cultural presentations on Friday, August 4th, which will be followed by the highly anticipated soca vibes of the undisputed Queen of Soca, Alison Hinds! International Night is on Saturday, August 5th, and the popular Colombian cumbia band, La Sonora Dinamita, will be providing the gathering will their Latin-infused hits. To close off the festival on Sunday, August 6th, all festival attendees are encouraged to enjoy the beach, and attend daytime festivities that businesses/sponsors will be hosting in honor of the weekend.
