Christopher Nolan has done the latest round of “deny I’m directing a Bond film” following the latest rumors otherwise. Nolan, who tends to be linked to the franchise each time a new film gears up, spoke with BBC Radio 4 about the rumors that he’s taking the helm of Bond 25.

“I won’t be the man,” Nolan said. “No, categorically. Every time they hire a new director I’m sort of rumored to be doing it.”

Nolan added, “I’d love to make a Bond film at some point, and I think that those producers – Barbara [Broccoli] and Michael [G. Wilson] – they do a tremendous job and Sam Mendes has done a terrific job the last couple of films. They don’t particularly need me. But I’ve always been very inspired by the films, and would love to do one some day.”

The plot of the film isn’t yet known. Daniel Craig is set to return to play Bond in the film, marking his fifth time in the role. It’s set to release on November 8th, 2019.
