In case you're still living in 2008, Cole Sprouse has moved on from Disney Channel to The CW and is also a gifted photographer. His Instagram reads like a gorgeous coffee table book for your phone, jam-packed with photographs of celebs and non-celebs out in nature, living their lives.

But besides providing a new outlet for him to express himself and his creative vision, photography also helped the Riverdale star combat his depression.

In an interview with YouTuber Duan Mackenzie, Cole confessed he "was sad and in a dark place and [he] turned to a hobby to sort of take [him] out of that." Photography called to him and he "used it as an outlet, as a way to create and feel better, and it took off."

Saying his craft "took off" is a modest understatement. Besides shooting his Riverdale cast in various locales, Cole also photographed Kendall Jenner for The Sunday Times and Sam Smith for the cover of L'uomo Vogue.

Of course, this isn't Cole's first mention of how photography helped him deal with his depression. In an Instagram post from January 2016, he captioned his photo of model Diana Silvers: "It was depression that drove me to do it. That's the real truth. It was depression that led me to the camera. It heals you know, a hobby. There's no bandaid like a hobby. I've been destructive, I know that now. I can see that I'm in a desert, and I've been thinking about that oasis when I should've been trying to get out."
